Our Mission
Our mission is to foster a healthier and more active generation in Mali by promoting physical fitness, enhancing access to quality healthcare, and supporting education and personal development. Through targeted programs, we aim to provide opportunities for young people to grow, learn, and thrive.

Kicking Off Change – Education and Health for All
The Foundation was established to create opportunities and provide support for vulnerable individuals, especially children, in Mali. As Amadou explains, "We offer young people a space where they can express their talent. If some of these youth make it in football, they owe us nothing, and we will never ask for anything from them." Driven by the belief that sports can foster a better future for children, the foundation aims to encourage young talents to pursue their dreams, develop child-friendly spaces for sports, and contribute to Mali's broader development. With a mission to support children’s talents, promote their rights, and provide humanitarian aid, the foundation emphasizes values like equality of opportunity and teamwork. Inspired by Amadou’s own journey—having received a life-changing chance at age 12—he seeks to give back, ensuring that others can smile and find hope despite the hardships of life in Mali.

The activities of the Amadou Haidara Foundation have left an indelible mark on three key locations in Mali: Bamako, Kayes, Gao and Kéla.
Bamako hosted the first two editions of the football camp in 2021 and 2022, bringing together young talents to hone their skills under the guidance of passionate coaches. In 2024, the football camp moved to Kayes, where 200 young participants, including 20 girls aged 10 to 14, showcased their abilities on the city’s iconic “Tribune de Kayes” and the Bassi Coulibaly field, drawing enthusiastic support from the local community. Meanwhile, in Kéla, the home village of Amadou Haïdara, a groundbreaking ceremony for a solar-powered health center took place, fulfilling a long-held dream of the foundation to provide accessible healthcare to Kéla and its neighboring villages. These initiatives have not only fostered sports development but also improved healthcare access in the region, reflecting the foundation’s deep commitment to community upliftment.
